About this deal

Ilford had been around a long time as a film manufacturer and even have a very good line of black and white disposable cameras using their HP5 and HP4 films. Many of those double-exposures – that seeming stag’s head made of branches – that’s a show or a zine right there.

you can get some cool snaps indoors too this winter, but the camera shines outdoors with a good blaze of sun. It's pre-loaded with an AAA battery, with a 15-second recycle time for low light shooting and fill flash in bright daylight. The technical storage or access is strictly necessary for the legitimate purpose of enabling the use of a specific service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user, or for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network. Note: For those film geeks like us, the film is labeled as “400-3” on the side of the film, very similar to how Lomo films appeared to be back in the day. Do not drop or throw the camera as this may damage the internal mechanisms and cause the camera to malfunction.

To understand more about the details above you can check out our film guide or if you want some inspiration then head over to our page on choosing your next film. ILFORD Imaging Europe GmbH offers no further warranty beyond the replacement of the camera as mentioned above. The ILFORD ILFOCOLOR RAPID Single Use Camera is not intended for professional or commercial application. So far, the film was performing ok, like a normal color negative ISO 800 film in a disposable camera body. ISO speed film for use in a variety of lighting conditions, the camera also features a built-in flash.

A real black and white Single Use Camera with Flash that comes preloaded with the best selling XP2 Super film from Ilford which can be processed in C41 colour chemistry, alongside colour negative films. The contrast to me felt a little low so I bumped it up in the software, but the unedited image was a nice colorful flatter style which was ok. I assumed that the Ilford Rapid Retro was more or less a repackaging/rebranding of another disposable camera with a 3rd party film.

Not super convenient since you might slide it in by accident if you want to take a picture with flash and forget about it, but it’s okay. Shutter Junkies develops a lot of disposable cameras from all over the world and we’ve only seen this camera body type a few times. I gifted this disposable camera to my partner and he told me that he much more preferred Kodak Tri-X one. Ilford HP5 Plus 400 35mm Disposable Film Camera is a simple point and shoot with a built-in flash, loaded with 400 ISO film.To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. I don’t think I would recommend this camera for weddings or company events, but for individuals capturing moments that want a warm, personal, retro feel, the Ilford Ilfocolor Rapid Retro would be a great option! Kodak disposable cameras have button you press to charge and Fuji disposable cameras come with a small slider that slides up with a prism that glows red to indicate that the flash is charged and on.
