The overall story is fantastic and as usual with McFadden, it’s always a thriller that keeps you on your toes until a crazy plot twist or insane reveal happens. Don’t worry, I won’t ruin anything for you but this is an addictive story with a lot of tension, suspense, and some good twists that were decent for the most part.

So I kept thinking of that nurses review and it hit me. Perhaps they just don't know how a violent psyche patient gets delivered to them because when they have gone through the process they are delivered in a catatonic/zombie like state to the psyche floor and are no longer any problem at all.While Ward D excels in many aspects, it falls short in its portrayal of mental health. Some readers may feel that the representation of mental health issues is stigmatizing. The negative portrayal of the illnesses represented raises concerns about perpetuating harmful stereotypes. Additionally, the overuse of the word “crazy” and the suggestion that all mentally ill individuals are inherently violent further reinforces these stereotypes. It is important for authors to approach such sensitive topics with caution and ensure that they do not contribute to the stigmatization of mental health conditions.
