This is one of those books that the minute I started reading it, I knew I wasn't going to want to put it down! I was taken in by the story of Adriana and Gabe from the moment I fired up my Kindle! I liked the quiet disposition of Evan. He hasn't had it easy the past few years. Along with being in and out of rehab, Evan and his childhood sweetheart have parted ways. If it wasn't for the strong support of his family and friends he would become a recluse. Sam has only crushed in Luke for years, without his knowledge. Luke thinks he did something wrong and Sam hates him. He is ready to settle down and stop being self centered. If only he can convince Sam how beautiful and strong she is and how much he loves her. I adore Sam. The ending was perfect.Shayne Fox is a famous actress who is working to expand in the Hollywood field. When an opportunity comes to work on a move in Hope Falls, she jumps at it. Not having the best childhood, Shayne has a hard time letting people close to her. So when she sees a handsome man and feels an instant connection she isn't exaclty sure what to do with it. Hands down this is my favorite book in the series. I don't think Gabe and Adriana could be any sweeter. This is going to be a quoted review because I don´t have words to describe this story. Well, I don´t have words but I have this: OTT. Fire and Love is a charming tale of first love, the kind of love that last a lifetime and no distance or disruption can dim its force or its fierceness. It is a story about a delicate second chance with love, a delightful new chance with the alluring fire burning in Eli and Kenzie for each other. It is a wonderful, smoothly flowing romance story that hits all the feels as it unfolds. I turned my head and looked around the rest of the trailer park while I waited. It was called, without apparent irony, Hope Falls.

Fire and Temptation is the sixteenth novel in the Hope Falls series by Melanie Shawn. This novel follows Evan and Shayne through their introduction and eventual romance. We caught a glimpse of Evan and his apparent brooding personality in the last Hope Falls novel - Fire and Romance. Returning to Hope Falls sort of feels like coming home, so many memories there with people you have grown to care about. And it was nice to run into couple characters from the original cast, I swear I had this smug smile on my face while reading about the book club 'I knew them way before...'. Hah. Shayne grew up in the system, lost her brother in the process, and suffered mobbing and bullying because of dyslexia and living situation. She learned early on to hide her true self, to keep the walls up, and only let her two besties in to see the true Shayne who was delightfully patience, kind, considerate, wild, determined, and daring person. Nikki Maguire does what she wants, says what she wants, and lives by her own set of rules. She is an intoxicating combination of beauty, sex-appeal and sharp wit that men find irresistible. Unfortunately for them, none have ever come close to holding Nikki’s attention, and settling down is not even on her radar. Both Gabe and Adriana are dealing with life. Gabe has moved across county , overcoming the odds of cancer and restarting his career both as a MMA fighter and firefighter.
