About this deal

A 100% natural and plant-derived moisturizer that mimics the natural carbohydrate fraction found in the upper layer of the skin. May Contain): Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499 (Iron Oxides), Mica, Ci 77007 (Ultramarines), Ci 77288 (Chromium Oxide Greens)]. I do notice how it does a pretty impressive job at colour correcting redness and tiredness on my skin, as you will see below. I bought n°31 Ivory and it’s slightly more pink than Bourjois Healthy Mix range which I find a bit too yellow so Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream matches me perfectly.

Methyl Trimethicone is a very light, volatile silicone (it evaporates from the skin rather than absorbs into it) that's similar to super commonly used Cyclopentasiloxane but it dries even faster when applied to the skin. It’s definitely a smart thing to avoid with sensitive skin (and fragrance of any type - natural is just as allergic as synthetic, if not worse!

If you have spotted ethylhexylglycerin on the ingredient list, most probably you will see there also the current IT-preservative, phenoxyethanol. Well, I don’t see a strong colour correcting effect but the colour is perfect for my skintone which is really evened out. It’s really blendable and it melts into your skin effortlessly without looking heavy or cakey or fake.

The Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream is a lightweight foundation with effective colour correcting pigments, that dries on skin to a semi-matte finish. It is not very stable either, when exposed to sunlight, it kind of breaks down and loses its effectiveness (not instantly, but over time - it loses 10% of its SPF protection ability within 35 mins).

Fragrance in the US and parfum in the EU is a generic term on the ingredient list that is made up of 30 to 50 chemicals on average (but it can have as much as 200 components!

I’ve used this quite a lot over the past month for natural make-up days and find it comfortable and hydrating on my skin. An inorganic (as in no carbon in its molecule) pigment that can range in shade from blue (most common) to violet, pink or even green. I also find that the CC Cream gives me a better finish to my skin, and a more luminous effect than the Healthy Mix Serum which again could be due to the colour correcting pigments. This cream is my HG; it managed to hide and tone down the most severe of my red spots and actually make me look more “human”. Something that sort of melts into one's skin and disguises some slightly larger pores would be great. And because of this very runny texture, it is best to be applied with fingers because foundation brush or beauty blender will absorbs too much products. Btw, chlorine in swimming pool water depletes this protective coating, so one more reason to reapply your sunscreen after a dip in the pool on holiday. It’s a common fragrance ingredient that is one of the “EU 26 fragrances” that has to be labelled separately (and cannot be simply included in the term “fragrance/perfume” on the label) because of allergen potential. Upon my first application I noticed that it had in fact cancelled out my redness and dark spots which is just amazing as nothing but concealer usually does that.

A clear, light yellow liquid that is used to coat pigments (such as inorganic sunscreen agents or colorants) in cosmetic products. It just gives you less grief 😛 Thanks for reading anyway, and I hope you find it useful, even if I tend to bash Korean makeup a lot lOL! Sleek CC Cream is described as a complexion correction cream, designed to treat, correct and conceal imperfections.
