Hirano and Kagiura meet during summer vacation to catch a night bus, riding half a day's worth out into the country to Kagiura's grandfather's house. Hirano meets Kagiura's family and plays with his cousins, even getting sunburnt and needing Kagiura's care in the process. At the stroke of midnight on Hirano's birthday, Kagiura presents Hirano with a gift: new earrings.

On White Day, Miyano gifts Sasaki some candy, causing Sasaki to become flustered and run off after accepting the gift. The school year comes to a close and Miyano meets Ogasawara, the student who questioned Sasaki about yaoi because of his girlfriend's fandom over it. Later that day, Sasuki and Miyano ride the train home together. Miyano rests his head on Sasaki's shoulder and the latter, thinking he is asleep, whispers "I like you." This startles Miyano awake. I've been a big fan of Sasaki and Miyano since pretty much the early chapters so when the Hirano and Kagiura manga was launched I was there. I was under the impression this anime was going to be a full movie rather than a few minutes of snippets between the two boys however I do think it is something worth watching. My only wish for them is to get together and stay happy, I'm at a point where I only want to see happy endings, I want people to live happily and I really want people's dreams to come true. Hirano realizes that Kagiura devotes a significant amount of his time to basketball as well, meaning that they are, in fact, not on an equal playing field.
